Are you ready to make some positive changes? Health is likely at the top of your resolution list. Do you want to have more energy, sleep better, think more clearly and look better? The food that you choose to eat is the most important component to achieve these goals.
Are you experiencing any of the following?
- Do you find it difficult to lose weight?
- Are you looking for a kick-start to get healthy?
- Do you have indigestion, heartburn, bloating, constipation or diarrhea?
- Do you have skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis or red, flaky skin?
- Are you struggling with poor memory, insomnia, lack of energy, achy joints or muscles, hay fever, or migraines?
- Do you think you have chronic inflammation?
- Do you have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol?
If you answered yes, to any of these questions, it is likely foods you are eating are contributing to these problems. Unlike food allergies, which can cause hives and life-threatening swelling of the airway, food sensitivities can cause very subtle reactions such as gastrointestinal symptoms, fatigue, headaches, joint pain and skin problems. There is more and more evidence in the medical literature pointing to food sensitivities as a contributor to our epidemic of chronic disease including obesity, gastrointestinal and autoimmune disease, heart disease, asthma, allergies and even cancer.
Identifying food sensitivities is a big part of my medical practice and has helped many of my patients lose weight, eliminate the need for medications and improve their health. So how do you determine what foods are the problem? Blood tests for food sensitivities are expensive and not always accurate. The best way to determine food sensitivities is by cutting out common food triggers from your diet for at least 3 weeks, then bringing these foods back in, one at a time, to see if you have any symptoms.
This process of identifying these foods can be a challenge. That is why we have created
Clean Slate, a free, online program to walk you through the process. As a group, myself included, we are going to go through this process together. The live, Clean Slate program will start on Monday January 11th through Feb 22nd, 2016. The program is made up of a 3-week elimination of foods that commonly cause these problems (gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, nuts, and corn), followed by 3 weeks of reintroducing the foods.
This program is a great way to give your body a fresh start for the New Year. We will coach you through the process with motivation, tips, shopping lists, recipes, restaurant options and an opportunity to ask questions through weekly conference calls. Through this process you will likely experience the following: you will lose weight, feel and sleep better, have more energy, less pain and a clearer mind. This is just what you need to start 2016 off in the right direction.
